SETH BURLINSON

Seth has been the director of safety and security at FBC since 2017. Born in San Diego and raised in Colorado Seth was the typical Pastor’s Kid. Giving his life to Christ at an early age, yet radically changed by the grace of God later in his college years and gave up his dreams of becoming a full-time paid Paramedic and Firefighter. In 2000 he enlisted in the U.S. Navy and was immediately shipped to San Diego for training when September 11 th occurred. He was immediately sent overseas in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and for the next 5 years was assigned overseas in areas such as Bahrain, Iraq, and Southeast Asia. Returning to San Diego in 2007, he again was assigned with operational units on board Camp Pendleton as a Fleet Marine Force Hospital Corpsman where he conducted additional combat operations in the Gulf of Aden and Afghanistan. He earned is degree in Homeland Security and Emergency Management and assumed the role as Emergency Manager for 17 Navy Health Clinics in San Diego. Over the years God used Seth in numerous areas of his life to speak to and disciple an unbelieving world in our Nations Military. He was often called upon to lead bible studies and nightly prayers while underway in hostile waters and in predominately Muslim countries. As his passion for the lost and ministry grew, he began serving wholeheartedly in several ministry areas to include the security and medical teams, ultimately taking them over. Retiring after 20 years, Seth embarked on his M.Div journey at Master’s Seminary and has a desire to enter the mission field. He met his wife Joy overseas in the middle east, has been happily married for 18 years and they have three children Joseph, Johnathan & Johanna.
