Jim and his wife, Peggie, both grew up in Orange County, California, where they were high school sweethearts, and they have now been married 51 plus years. They moved to Temecula in December of 2011 to be near two of their three adult daughters and their five grandchildren when they retired from teaching.
Jim and Peggie enjoy serving the Body of Christ together and the privilege of exercising their spiritual gifts at FBC. They love spending time with their family. Physically active vacations with their kids and grandkids such as hiking the Narrows in Zion National Park nurture wonderful memories. Jim and Peggie are huge fans of plays at the Temecula Theater in Old Town as well as The Lamb Players in San Diego.
Jim served in the U.S. Naval Intelligence Group in Puerto Rico. This is where he came to Christ. After being discharged from the Navy, he graduated from Biola University and Talbot Seminary. He has over four decades of ministry experience which includes youth, men, singles, married couples, and Christian Education. He has enjoyed serving Christ on eight overseas mission/training trips to Albania and Uganda. He also was a public high school reading and writing teacher with at risk students.
Since coming to FBC in July, 2013, Jim and Peggie have served in the Greeting Ministry and have been Community Group leaders. They are currently serving in New Visitors’ Ministry, as well as shepherding CG leaders. Jim disciples men and has led Men of the Word.
