Who
We understand that young married couples are experiencing new and exciting times and may be working through significant adjustments in living with their new partner for life. It is a critical time to establish their marriage upon the foundation of God’s Word (Psalm 119:105). Our target is couples under 30 years of age who have been married less than five years.
What
Our goal is for fusion to be a young married ministry that works cohesively with Faith Bible Church. We do not aspire for it to simply be a Bible study, another Sunday sermon, or a social group. While there will be various events and activities, Fusion will be about promoting authentic relationships and pursuing spiritual growth through discipleship. Fusion leaders desire it to be a gospel-centered environment for couples to pursue Christ and apply God’s Word to their marriages.
Why
So many couples today, whether “Christian” or not, have an unbiblical purpose and focus for their marriage. The institution, ordained by God, is reduced to a self-fulfilling path to one’s own happiness, rather than a means to glorify Christ. Three common measures of success are, “Am I happy?”, “Is my SPOUSE happy?” or “Are WE happy?” The fatal limitation for each of these views is that they are centered in man rather than in God. The Bible says that we were created by God for God (Isaiah 43:7). Have you ever considered that God may have given you your spouse as much for your holiness as for your happiness? The goal of Fusion ministry is to see God’s Word applied in building godly marriages for His glory.
