Compassion

The Bible’s mandate for churches is to establish new churches and strengthen existing ones.  In complementary distinction, the biblical priority for individuals is to evangelize the lost and show compassion to the needy and hurting.  To that end, FBC holds that both church planting (aka missions) and compassion ministry are priorities for our body.  Church planting is to be done mainly by the corporate church working together, and compassions work is to be accomplished primarily by individuals as they see needs each day.

At FBC, we strive to support both.  We plant and strengthen churches, and we help our people live with compassion among the hurting.  As Christians in the richest country in the world, we have no other choice.  We MUST live compassionately, both locally and abroad.

There are MANY opportunities for Christians to seek the welfare and betterment of others, while displaying and declaring the love of Christ.  Below are a few of the mercy ministries in which we’re involved with and support.

Volunteer Hours: Monday, Wednesday, and Fridays from 8:30am – 12:00pm.

Volunteers needed for food distribution, stacking, and arranging food as well as administrative work.
